The STC market is a great place and I am glad I can pick up this hot sauce there! Had to come back for more.

Hello Toronto! Kaitlin here from Mid-Town. I found Rio Lago recently, and a friend and I are hooked on this Caribbean Sweet and Hot sauce! It’s a new, locally produced, recently became available and a ton of people in my building are absolutely digging the flavors. I bought my first bottle for friend who is quite a hot sauce expert, and he loved it! The pineapple base with a hint of curry and scotch bonnet peppers really hit the spot! I am not great handling spice (medium wings is the hottest I can tolerate) but I tried Caribbean Sweet and Hot as a glaze on roast pork. It added such a complex and delicious flavor blend to the meal. I was pleasantly surprised and happy it wasn’t too much for me. Can’t wait to try it on chicken! I really would love to see Rio Lago gain some traction in the GTA. The people involved are local and clearly passionate about creating something new. It’s served at Paddington’s breakfast café in the St Lawerence Market.

Delicious flavourful and complex sauces! Was very pleasantly surprised by the flavour profile. It’s a hit with the kids for dipping veggies, and for myself with chicken 🤤
