As a Baku resident, I’m always looking for exciting flavors to add to my traditional dishes. Recently, I tried Rio Lago sauce, and I’m pleasantly surprised!
The sauce itself is sweet and slightly piquant. It has a unique flavor profile that I haven’t quite experienced before, but it complements a variety of dishes well. I particularly enjoyed it with lamb and chicken, cooked in traditional Azeri way. The sauce added a curry complexity that I really liked.
Here in Baku, we love fresh ingredients, and I appreciate that Rio Lago sauce seems to use high-quality components. Overall, I’d recommend Rio Lago sauce to anyone in Baku looking to explore new flavour combinations without straying too far from our traditional cuisine.

Incredible hot sauce!! Taste is awesome, both hot and mild, and the hot is more flavourful than vinegary, which is often found in traditional sauces. Rio Lago here in Toronto sold me 2 bottles. Just contact info@riolago.ca. Gonna buy a few more bottles…highly recommended to add on to chicken, meat, and even mayo for a spicy dip. Love it and got great service!!
